BREW TIPS FOR PLUNGER COFFEE

PLUNGER TIPS

1. Bring water to a boil, let rest for a few minutes as boiled water can cause a burnt taste in coffee. Ideal water temperature range is between 87c - 92c.

2. Pour hot water over the coffee grounds.

3. Once the water has been poured start stirring for approximately 30 seconds, by doing this, coffee flavour is best extracted from granules, resulting in great tasting aromatic coffee.

4. Once finished stirring the coffee, press the filter (which is connected to the cover) gently press down grounds to the bottom of the pot.

5. Serve immediately. No need to wait as coffee cools quickly

To brew a single cup of coffee in the coffee plunger, approximately 10-14 gr of ground coffee is required. Unless you have the correct measuring scoop, the best alternative method of measure would be one heap of coffee in a tablespoon. However you should certainly experiment with this ratio, until you find the taste that's right for you. Usually a light to a medium colour of roasted coffee beans, would be suitable for the plunger. Lighter roasts are mild, while the dark roasted beans deliver an intense taste.

WARNING: AVOID USING EXCESSIVE FORCE WHEN PRESSING, MAY CAUSE SCALDING LIQUID TO SHOOT OUT OF PLUNGER
